Today I learned a new recipe. I wanted to cook, an ez “Indian” recipe and there was nothing that I could think of. I asked Maryam; she taught me how to make “Pakavrah”.
Here it is..
water (about half a bowl)
1/2 baby spoon ground turmeric
1/2 baby spoon garlic powder
3 hand fulls flour
1 baby spoon salt
3 potatoes, deskin them and cut them up into humongous penny type things or pancakes.
Put oil on the “pany-pan-pan” π Turn on the oven to “lite hi” put the potatoes in the mixture. Deep fry them, not to burnt, but a bit burnt. Take them out.
Eat them!!!!!!!!!!!! π (After they cool down!)
I have only tried them plain, but Maryam told us about it and Momma likes them with tasteless yogurt. They are yum, yum, yum, yummy!
oh yum! if those are what your brought to the bbq, I’m very happy you posted how to make them :o) they were quite tasty!
No, we did not take them, but they are yummy. They are like french fried chips on the inside, but pancakes on the outside. Just talking about it makes my mouth water.
Love,
Mark
hmm…sounds like what you guys brought on Memorial day. Tasteless yogurt? If it is tasteless, what does it taste like????
I didn’t use garlic powder, I used black pepper. We can make it again and correct something wrong.
Pekoura is the proper spelling π
