The true meaning of Easter

Easter is not about the bunnies or the eggs; it is abut Jesus dieing on the cross! The story, which is REAL, is in Matthew 27:69 -28:10 and Mark 14: 32 -16:19.

Here’s the story:

Jesus is God’s son. He has been forever! He helped create the world. God did a miracle, and Mary had the baby Jesus (He was God, but became flesh to save the world.) He did not sin. EVER, ever, ever!

One night Jesus (and a few disciples) went to the garden of Gethsemane. Jesus prayed. He was feeling bad because he knew already that he would be crucified. But he knew that he HAD to obey God.

Soon Judas, a disciple who was also a pretender, came to the garden of Gethsemane with a lot of soldiers, a total of ? soldiers (I do not know how many soldiers there were) . They took Jesus and arrested him.

After the Jewish High Priest judged Jesus they took him to Pilate for the 2nd trial. Pilate knew nothing was wrong. He asked the crowd if he should free Barabbus (a very bad criminal) or Jesus. They yelled, “take him away” (take Jesus away).”take him away…”

Later they killed him on a cross 🙁 . Three days later he rose again! 🙂

Snow!God promised Jesus would “wash our sins as white as snow” if we confess our wrong doings, and ask Jesus to forgive us. If we ask Jesus into our heart, and to be our Lord and Savior, he will help us to obey and become more like him.

Happy Easter!

  1. Yeah for Easter!

Remember, though, to “watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing but the body is weak” (Mark 14:38).
