Today in History

ON 8 May 1936,  Ralph Neves fell of his horse, Fannikins.   The  Field doctors at San Mateo’s Bay Meadows racetrack thought that he was dead.  He was sent to the hospital and then to the morgue.  (He won the gold watch the next day!)
